Terms and conditions for gift cards at Hyre

These terms and conditions apply to the purchase and use of gift cards issued by Hyre AS, Christian Kroghs gate 16, 0186 Oslo. By purchasing or using the gift card, you accept the following terms.

About the gift card

Hyre's gift cards are issued as digital codes and delivered as a PDF via email. The gift card can be redeemed in the Hyre app and used to rent cars via the Hyre platform. The gift card is not personal and can therefore be passed on.

The gift card can only be used to pay for the actual rental price of the car. It does not cover fuel costs, bridge tolls, road tax or other additional costs.

Redemption and validity

The gift card is redeemed by entering the code in the Hyre app.

• The gift card is valid for 12 months from the day it is redeemed in the app.
• If you wish to extend the validity period, this can be done by contacting customer service via the app. However, the gift card can be valid for a maximum of 3 years from the date of issue.

If the gift card expires without being used, its value will lapse.

Combination with other offers

The gift card can be freely combined with other discounts, campaigns and offers on the Hyre platform, unless otherwise stated.

Refund and right of withdrawal

• A refund is possible if the gift card has not been used, and must be made via the partner where the gift card was purchased.
• There is no right of withdrawal on gift cards, as it is considered a digital service that is delivered immediately after purchase. Partially used gift cards cannot be refunded.
• Partially used gift cards cannot be refunded.

Liability in the event of loss or misuse

The gift card must be kept safe. If the gift card is lost, stolen or misused, this is the customer's own responsibility and Hyre will not compensate for the loss.

Since the gift card is not personal, it is important that the code is not shared with unauthorized persons.

Reservations and changes

Hyre reserves the right to change these terms with reasonable notice. Changes will be published on www.hyre.no and will enter into force thereafter.
